Is it worth considering the Intel Arc A750 if you're building a desktop computer in 2024? Well, both yes and no- but there seem to be some identifiable trends that may help you come to a conclusion as to whether or not it's the right card for your machine!

The Intel Arc A750 is a performance segment graphics card launched as a part of their first generation, code-named Alchemist, of discrete graphics cards! Surprisingly though, Intel has been in the GPU business for decades and you have probably experienced one of their GPUs integrated into a CPU. By percentage of devices sold with Intel graphics, they account for the majority of graphics solutions sold per year- however can their mobile expertise translate to the high performance, high power budget desktop discrete market? Well... surprisingly yes and no...

A GPU is a separate bank of ALUs and FPUs, designed to offload heavily parallelizable calculations from the main CPU onto a dedicated chip. The Graphics Card refers to the entire sub-system, containing the PCB, Memory, and Cooling solution.

Building a Budget PC can be tough. Not only are GPUs and CPUs so incredibly expensive, but they can be hard to find on a budget... But, there are tips and tricks to finding you your dream Budget GPU, and pairing it with a CPU that will give you the performance you want!

I'm buying my first hypercar, a Zenvo TSR-S! Join me in Denmark for the announcement of my big news, with a factory tour at Zenvo and all the details to start of the ROAD TO ZENVO video series. This is going to be huge, and I could not be more excited to bring you along!

I will never forget filming my first Zenvo, the original ST1 prototype, during a visit to Parc Ferme in Dubai back in early 2014. Since then, I've met with the team around the world, filming the ST1, TS1 GT, TSR and TSR-S, including a ride in the latter in the South of France a few years ago with company founder, Troels Vollertsen. The TSR-S is a brutal beast built for raw emotion, power and engagement, with an in-house 5.8l twin supercharged V8 making 1,177hp.

For my first visit to the factory, we can explore around the showroom, specification suite, dyno, assembly hall and various stages of manufacturing to get a taster for what's in store as things progress from here. My Zenvo TSR-S will soon go into production and that means an exciting journey as we can lock in the specification, get involved in the build and assembly, and ultimately bring the car around the world to visit so many of you who are part of this journey!

It's a huge leap for me, to buy a car of this level is a massive commitment but to be in this position is more than a dream and I can't thank you enough for being part of it. The plans we have during the build process, and for what the car will do after delivery are out of this world and going to be the most exciting things I've ever done on the Shmee150 channel. Thank you so much for making this possible and your ongoing support.

NVIDIA’s RTX 5090 & 50 series launch in general has turned the entire PC space into a complete disaster, literally. Retailers expected massive demand, jacked up prices, and now high-end GPUs are just sitting there collecting dust. ASUS’ ROG Astral RTX 5090 cards are on shelves at $3,719, ZOTAC raised its price to $2,700, and some European stores are even offloading B-stock 5090s with missing hardware for €2,899. The market miscalculated big time. People aren’t paying double what the RTX 4090 cost, and with rumors of AMD’s next-gen GPUs looming, buyers are holding out. NVIDIA may have to rethink its pricing strategy, or we might be looking at some serious price drops soon.

On the laptop side, NVIDIA is cracking down on manufacturers who undercut power specs. Gaming laptops often ship with GPUs that sound powerful—like an “RTX 5090”—but actually run at lower wattages, meaning performance can vary wildly. Now, NVIDIA is forcing companies to be transparent about exact power specs, so buyers don’t get tricked into thinking their laptop has the same performance as a desktop GPU. This could be a game-changer for laptop gaming, ensuring people actually know what they’re paying for.

Right now, the GPU market is in a weird spot. Desktop GPUs are too expensive, laptops are getting stricter labeling, and gamers are waiting to see what happens next. If NVIDIA doesn’t course-correct soon, we could be looking at some major shifts in pricing, competition, and how GPUs are sold. Will prices crash? Will AMD take advantage of the chaos? The next few months are going to be very interesting.
