I like to PvP, and PvE on ARK Ascended. Usually beating maps under an ARK challenge. Testing & comparing the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6GB and RTX 4060 8GB graphics cards in 10 games from their respective eras, using a reasonably priced gaming PC.

Gamers have a special place in their heart for the 60 series GPUs from Nvidia, with the GTX 1060 in particular being a long-time favourite that has spent a significant amount of time at the top of the Steam Hardware Survey. The RTX 4060 meanwhile has been reluctantly embraced by gamers, offering acceptable performance and features for its price, despite being a cut-down model from what was expected for this class of GPU. In this video, I've done my best to ascertain whether the RTX 4060 really is a downgrade, and whether we should expect more from the 60s.

Is it worth considering the Intel Arc A750 if you're building a desktop computer in 2024? Well, both yes and no- but there seem to be some identifiable trends that may help you come to a conclusion as to whether or not it's the right card for your machine!

The Intel Arc A750 is a performance segment graphics card launched as a part of their first generation, code-named Alchemist, of discrete graphics cards! Surprisingly though, Intel has been in the GPU business for decades and you have probably experienced one of their GPUs integrated into a CPU. By percentage of devices sold with Intel graphics, they account for the majority of graphics solutions sold per year- however can their mobile expertise translate to the high performance, high power budget desktop discrete market? Well... surprisingly yes and no...

A GPU is a separate bank of ALUs and FPUs, designed to offload heavily parallelizable calculations from the main CPU onto a dedicated chip. The Graphics Card refers to the entire sub-system, containing the PCB, Memory, and Cooling solution.

Building a Budget PC can be tough. Not only are GPUs and CPUs so incredibly expensive, but they can be hard to find on a budget... But, there are tips and tricks to finding you your dream Budget GPU, and pairing it with a CPU that will give you the performance you want!

We’ve got a 1600hp Nissan GT-R going head-to-head with a 1200hp Audi R8 & a 1,100hp McLaren 720S… And trust us, it’s absolutely EPIC!

So let’s run through the stats. First up we’ve got Mat in the GT-R, which would normally have a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6… But it’s had a full engine rebuild and it’s now packing a 4.1-litre twin-turbo V6 which delivers a humungous 1,600hp & 1,500Nm!! It also rolls up with AWD and weighs in at 1,750kg.

Next up we have Auto Torque’s Audi R8. Yianni’s in it, and he’s looking forward to feeling its 5.2-litre NA V10 in action once again! And it’s no surprise, given it delivers 1200hp & 930Nm of torque! It’s also slightly lighter than the GT-R, at 1,650kg.

Then finally we have the 720S. Of course, it’s been tuned, so its 4-litre twin-turbo V8 now delivers 1,100hp and 950Nm. It’s easily the lightest car here, at 1,400kg, but it’s got one big disadvantage - it’s only RWD!

Trust us, this one is NOT to be missed!
