Just an honest video of what's it like in St. Paul's Bay - Bugibba & Qawra in Malta. This video represents my personal opinion, plus the presented state of things here. Sustainability levels of this island are becoming exhausted.

St. Paul's Bay, Malta is a local council consisting of Bugibba, Qawra and St. Paul's Bay residential areas. Full of shops, restaurants, hotels and couple of local seafood stores. It is also the most populated town in Malta, and the town with most of the construction works after St. Julian's and Sliema.

VALLETTA MALTA | A walk through Valletta, the capital city of Malta
Valletta is the tiny and beautiful capital city of Malta so when we had a trip to the island we just had to have a wander around the streets to see what Valletta is like. Filmed in HLG HDR.

I love Valletta. It has everything you could wish for when travelling to Malta. Lovely beautiful buildings, amazing streets, fantastic architecture and superb hotels, restaurants and shops!

Valletta is the heart of tourism here in Malta and has so much to offer you if you're on a holiday or a trip here and it's easy to get lost in the stunning streets of this beautiful city.

It's been a while since I last went to Malta so I flew there from Manchester Airport recently, touched down at Malta International Airport and the first place I headed to is Valletta. It's right up there as one of my favourite cities and if you're looking for things to do in Malta then a Valletta Tour has to be one of the must do days out.

Valletta (or Il-Belt) is the tiny capital of the Mediterranean island nation of Malta. The walled city was established in the 1500s on a peninsula by the Knights of St. John, a Roman Catholic order. It’s known for museums, palaces and grand churches. Baroque landmarks include St. John’s Co-Cathedral

Valletta, The Fortress City, Citta’ Umilissima, “A city built by gentlemen for gentlemen”. These are some of the names given to Malta’s capital city: a living, working city, the administrative and commercial heart of the Islands.

Valletta is named after its founder, the respected Grand Master of the Order of St. John, Jean Parisot de la Valette. The magnificent fortress city grew on the arid rock of Mount Sceberras peninsula, which rises steeply from two deep harbours, Marsamxett and Grand Harbour.

Started in 1566, Valletta with its impressive bastions, forts and cathedral, was completed in the astonishingly short time of 15 years.Valletta has many titles, all recalling its rich historical past. It is the “modern” city built by the Knights of St John; a masterpiece of the Baroque; a European Art City and a World Heritage City. Today, it is one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world.

The city is busy by day, yet retains a timeless atmosphere. The grid of narrow streets boasts some of Europe’s finest art works, churches and palaces.

Hosting a vast cultural programme, walking around Valletta you’ll come across an intriguing historical site around every corner: votive statues, niches, fountains and coats of arms high up on parapets. Narrow side streets are full of tiny quaint shops and cafés, while Valletta’s main streets are lined with larger international branded shops for fashion, music, jewellery and much more.

I hope you enjoyed this Valletta Walking Tour and hope that it has inspired you to visit Malta!

The Island of Malta, together with Greece, has always been the last bastion of Europe. It was attacked several times by Arab invaders and Ottoman Turks but it could always defend itself in the long run. Malta was first known by the ancient Greeks as Melita (= honeybee) or the island of Honey. It was long part of the Roman Empire and the Greek Byzantine Empire until the 11th century when it was conquered by Arab invaders from Spain. The current language of Malta, the Maltese, has many influences from that era. After the Arabs, the Norman conquest followed and thereafter the crusaders. The military order of St. John left the island of Rhodes and fortified Malta successfully against the Ottoman attacks. These Maltese knights also left their mark on numerous defensive buildings and churches. After the Maltese nights, there was a short French period until finally the British Empire took over the strategic island in the Mediterranean. Malta achieved its independence in 1964, although Maltese and English are still the official two languages spoken on the island. The capital of Malta is Valletta. Malta has also a smaller island, the island of Gozo. The total population of Malta is 550,000.
